September 18–19

WordCamp Belgrade 2026, Belgrade, Serbia

WordCamp Belgrade 2026, Dom Omladine, Belgrade, 18 to 19 September 2026. Speaking Saturday at 13:20.

Two days at Dom Omladine, and I’m on stage Saturday at 13:20 with Code is cheap, judgment is not: the WordPress developer’s new core skill. For twenty years a WordPress developer’s value was the ability to write the code. AI made that part cheap, so the talk is about what is left: the context you give the agent, the spec you hold it to, the harness that catches it, and the call only you can make. Including what AI gets confidently wrong about WordPress every single time, which is missing nonces, absent capability checks, unescaped output, and invented hooks.

October 16–18

WordCamp Galicia 2026, A Coruña, Spain

WordCamp Galicia 2026, A Coruña, Spain, 16 to 18 October 2026. Speaking Saturday at 10:00.

Talks and Contributor Day at the Faculty of Law, Universidade da Coruña. Saturday at 10:00 in the main room, I’m presenting The Browser is the Agent: Running Local, Autonomous AI in WordPress together with Ivelina Dimova. A deliberately technical session on running a fully autonomous agent inside the visitor’s own browser instead of calling a cloud API: WebGPU and WebLLM to run open models locally, Service Workers to hold the agent’s state across admin page loads, client-side RAG over local logs and documentation, and a ReAct loop that picks its own tools through the WordPress Abilities API. The case study is our open-source wp-agentic-admin plugin.

WordPress Day for AI, Faro, Portugal

WordPress Day for AI, Faro, Portugal, 24 October 2026. Speaking, with Codeable sponsoring.

The first official WordPress event in the Algarve. One day, two tracks, a hundred people, at AP Eva Senses. I’m speaking in the business track, in Portuguese: A IA não é um desconto. É capacidade. (“AI is not a discount. It’s capacity.”)

It’s the honest accounting of a year in which every Pluginslab project was delivered with AI in the process, from scoping through to support. Delivery costs fell a long way. Prices didn’t move at all. The difference went to three places: margin, fast delivery that we now charge more for because some clients value speed above everything, and work we used to turn down because it didn’t fit the time budget. Plus the one thing that costs exactly what it always did, which is being the person responsible when it breaks at two in the morning. Codeable is sponsoring the day.
